My life revolves around simple, meaningful things—family, dirt under my fingernails, and caring for what’s been entrusted to me. I’ve been married to my husband for almost 30 years, am a mom to two boys (17 and 22), we raise chickens, love on our dogs, and spend a lot of time outside. Gardening holds a special place in my heart. It’s something my late father taught me to love, and every time I’m in the garden, I feel close to him.
After surviving cancer, I became incredibly intentional about what I put on my skin and in my body. That season of life changed everything. It eventually led me back to school to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, but even with all that education, I still struggled to find truly clean, trustworthy skincare for myself and my family. So many products were filled with synthetic fragrances and ingredients I knew could disrupt hormone health. I wanted better. I wanted simple. I wanted real.
That’s when I discovered tallow and its beautiful, time-tested benefits for the skin. It felt like coming home. I started creating my own products with pure, high-quality ingredients I could stand behind—products I felt good using on my own skin and sharing with others.
I started this company because I believe self-care doesn’t need to be complicated. It should be simple, nourishing, and rooted in nature. Many tallow skincare companies use pre-rendered or blended animal fats and outsource their processing, meaning they don’t always know exactly how the tallow was rendered, what temperatures were used, or whether chemical agents were involved in “cleaning” the fat. We believe transparency matters. That’s why we start with pure suet and maintain full control over our sourcing and rendering process from start to finish.
We source our suet from Lil' Ponderosa Beef in Carlisle, a farm we’ve known and trusted for many years. Their commitment to raising high-quality, grass-fed beef aligns with our values, making them the perfect partner for our skincare products. We frequently visit the farm, seeing firsthand the care they put into their animals and the land. Knowing exactly where our ingredients come from allows us to create tallow-based skincare that is pure, nourishing, and rooted in integrity.

I’ve used other tallows in the past but they either have way too much fragrance or left my skin super oily (hello breakouts). I’ve struggled with eczema my whole life. Living somewhere with hard water has made my skin flare up often, and, for women who understand, it makes shaving your legs painful! Often leaving in-grown hairs and razor bumps that burn (and honestly, let’s be real, the look of razor bumps isn’t fun either). I’ve noticed since using the calendula tallow not only do my razor bumps heal faster but I get less and less each time since my skin holds in the moisture.

This product has been a game changer for me! During the Spring/Summer of this year, I experienced an unknown skin condition on my legs that caused extreme itchiness, redness, and bumps.
